Internship Programme

Placement and Follow-up Process of Interns: All applications made to the Inspiring the Future internship programme under the SEEing Youth project are submitted to the relevant institutions in the order of preference of the applicants after passing through a structured evaluation process. The applications are evaluated by the institutions and each institution starts the process by determining the most suitable intern(s) according to its own institutional capacity and needs. To ensure that the internship programme benefits institutions and interns, all institutions are asked to select a mentor who will support and guide their interns. The selected mentors go through various training processes prepared by the Human Resources Management Association before the internship programme starts. They also attend the info sessions at which they get informed about intern management aspects, Gen-Z character traits and goal setting & development plans . During the internship programme, mentors continue to receive support from the team.

Structured Internship Programme: All interns participate in an orientation programme before starting their internship and training programme where they are provided with in-depth information regarding the programme, its requirements and their rights & responsibilities. During this event, interns get the chance to meet each other and to work on their networking skills. Within the framework of the programme, all interns undergo trainings to improve their professional communication skills such as CV and motivational letter writing, interview skills, writing emails with professional content, communication and presentation skills in the workplace, and social skills such as basic human rights and responsibilities, active citizenship, conflict resolution and empathy, tolerance and acceptance, receiving feedback and active listening. Through these trainings, they acquire knowledge and skills which are useful in their professional and social lives. The interns work for 40 working days in the institutions they are matched with and once they complete their internship, they take a step closer to professional life with their newly gained skills, knowledge and strengthened self-confidence.
