SEEing Youth: Supporting, Educating and Enabling Youth Project announced the launch of its intercommunal internship programme. The Project is funded by the European Union under the Civil Society in Action VII Grant Scheme Program and implemented by Cyprus Turkish Association of Managers and Human Resources Management Association. Within the scope of the Project, for the first time, the inter-communal internship program will provide young people from all over the island the opportunity to do internships this year.

SEEing Youth Project’s main action is to provide paid internship opportunities to young people that would like to gain work experience during summer months as a continuation of the Inspiring the Future Project funded by the European Union and implemented by Cyprus Turkish Association of Managers and Peace Players – Cyprus , which was successfully carried out and completed between 2018 and 2020.

As part of the internship programme, there are 20 available positions at 16 different institutions. The selected candidates will have 40 workings days to complete and attend the training sessions that will be offered by the programme during the months July, August & September.

This programme aims to bring together young people from all over the island, allowing them to work and go through trainings together, in an effort to promote understanding, cooperation and reconciliation between all the communities. The programme is offering a unique opportunity for young people to gain valuable work experience in a different cultural context while also contributing to building bridges between the communities on the island. During the internship programme, the participants will be placed in various companies and organizations across the island, where they will work alongside colleagues from different communities. In addition, they will attend a series of training sessions on various topics such as communication skills and leadership development among other topics.

The programme is open to anyone between the ages of 18-30 who would like to gain work experience during the summer of 2023 and both willing and have no issues to travel across the island.
